HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170t Review
Unlike many of Hewlett-Packard’s desktop PCs, which can be bought off-the-shelf in stores or online via the likes of Best Buy and Amazon.com, HP's new Pavilion Elite HPE-170t is a configure-to-order model that's only available direct from shopping.hp.com. The “HPE” in the system name stands for “High Performance Edition,” but as you can imagine from a computer line that has configurations starting as low as $699 (for the HPE-110t) and soaring to over $1,500, the term “high performance” is more of a relative concept. Performance will vary depending on the components you're willing to pay for, but we must say, based on the model we tested, you can get a juiced-up and reasonable-value machine in this line if you configure yours carefully...
